Aprivate boat will pick us up from your hotel and drive us for 15 minutes to Lido Island, a few meters walk and we’ll set off on our rented bicycles for the day.

The itinerary is a 25-30 km-long very easy and pleasant ring , suitable also for children.

The island is a north-south oriented long and narrow strip of land once upon a time a natural sand-bar defense , not only from the incursion of enemies but from the Adriatic Sea itself. On one side the lagoon of Venice with its brackish water and the residential glamourous art nouveauarea, on the other side 12 km of sandy beaches with its typical 19th C. rows of white and light blue cabins by the sea.

We will ride through breezy boulevards and silent blackberry woods, reach the northern red lighthouse and talk about the MOSE project for the safeguard of Venice.

We will see historical sites and ancient colorful fishing villages before ending on the southern wild preserved ofdune WWF area of Alberoni.

Bring towels and bathing suit as we will go for a little swim for a couple of (summer) times!!
